NTOA (National Tactical Officers Association) Member Tested and Recommended Program The NTOA's Member Tested and Recommended is the most comprehensive product review database in law enforcement. This program allows manufacturers to have their products tested in the field by the law enforcement community. Results are published on the NTOA website and in the quarterly journal, The Tactical Edge.

"...I would put it up against any other manufacturer on the market...and it would run equal to or better than them. I believe that BCM is now on par with the best rifles being made by anyone, anywhere."
"Not all AR parts are equal. BCM follows what the military requires for its weapons right down to the metals used. The words “Mil-Spec” can be thrown about by many different companies and you’d be well served to ask them what they mean by that and compare what the military requires to what those companies are producing."
"First thing is first, I attached the new BCM upper to my SW lower receiver in order to evaluate whether or not this new product was worth sinking money into. The results were comparable if not better than any of the top of the line AR-15s I have ever fired. More importantly, not one misfeed."
"Soon after building my new weapon, I returned to the range. I have not picked up another weapon since. I also turned in my MP-5 assault rifle, which tends to ride up when in full-auto. The BCM is very smooth in all firing modes. I now have one weapon that meets all of my needs. I can punch the center out of a target at 600 meters away and at the flip of a switch possessing close quarter fire power. I have still yet to have a misfeed of any kind."

"I was eager to test the Gunfighter Charging
Handle from Bravo Company Mfg. Designed for the AR-15 or M-4 platform, this
product has a very specific consumer target which it is made for: military
applications and specialty law enforcement (SWAT). The premise which led to the
development of this charging handle is that current military and CQB technique
has evolved in the way the operator performs an immediate action drill or
charges the carbine. The training standard now requires the operator to perform
the task with their support side hand only. In doing so, the operator maintains
a continuous firing grip, allowing the weapon to stay on target and become
“hot” as quickly as possible.
The dilemma most operators faced while attempting this action is that the stock
charging handles were not designed for a “support” side action to perform this
task. The stock handles were not extended enough for the weak hand to operate.
Also, performing this action with the stock design would put undue stress on
the tactical latch and therefore, the roll pin. In doing so, the roll pin could
eventually break causing a weapons failure.
With this new and innovative design, the folks at BCM met with trainers and
operators to develop a charging handle to meet the new demands of the 21st
Century operator. They extended the handle and latch to make weak side
operation quite simple and intuitive. The new design relieves the stress off
the roll pin and onto the entire body of the handle itself.
I spent two days on the range using the Gunfighter Charging Handle during
tactical training. I soon found that I was able to manipulate my M-4 with ease.
I had the range officers load magazines with random dummy rounds to simulate a
jam. The subsequent failure drills were conducted seamlessly while I maintained
target acquisition. I was wearing full length Nomex gloves while firing and had
no problem conducting the drill by “feel.” The deep grooved edges on the latch
are crucial to the success of this product. Several of my fellow operators
observed these failure drills with envy as I flew through the process.
Kudos to BCM and “stay safe” to the operators who will benefit from this
product."
"The Gunfighter allows one to smoothly and
positively charge the rifle using only the support hand. This allows one to
maintain a firing grip on the weapon which will get you back into the fight
quicker.
Extended latches are nothing new, but most create significant pressure on the
roll pin. This can result in the roll pin breaking. The Gunfighter charging
handle is designed to limit stress on the roll pin. The design is more easily
seen than described. A diagram of the system is available on the Bravo Company
website (www.BravoCompanyMFG.com)....
The Bravo Company Gunfighter is a well-designed and manufactured item. I highly
recommend it."
"If you have run any type of GI-spec aluminum
magazine, that is what you’re getting here. The difference is in the black
Teflon finish, included Magpul enhanced follower, and the reliability that you
will NOT get from picking up ‘cheap’ magazines at a gunshow, or from Bubba down
the street. These magazines WORK, or they would not be included on the BCM
website. After running hundreds of rounds through the provided magazines, I had
absolutely no malfunctions. All magazines provided fit as they should in all
rifles that I had on hand (Colt, Noveske, and S&W) dropping free and
inserting without issue. Disassembly for cleaning is the same as any other AR
magazine."
"The magazines are stamped from aluminum, welded,
anodized and then the surface receives a baked on Teflon finish. This did add
lubricity to the inside and outside of the magazine. That lubricity was the
major difference between these mags and the standard issue military magazines.
I did notice that during the testing phase of the BCM mags, there were no round
jams within the magazines themselves. This is good for the AR-15 operator,
because if the round is fed right out of the mag into the receiver then the
chance of a misfeed is less likely. I just started using Bravo Company products
and highly recommend them to every law enforcement officer."
"Due to the coating I did notice the magazines to
be little easier when loading rounds into them versus the standard military
issue, which was at times difficult to load. Loading them into the lower
receiver was also a breeze."
